How IKEA Can Help You Lose Weight

And live a healthier and happier life

This summer I had the “fun” of putting together two Ikea bedroom sets for our kids.

It was a workout in itself lifting and lugging all the big flat boxes from the garage and upstairs to their rooms. (22 boxes to be exact!)

Now, here’s the question…Did I use the instructions and manuals to put the stuff together?

Of course.

I’ve never put together Ikea stuff before, so not using the instructions and manuals would be a nightmare.

There is little to no chance of success if you just wing it, guess, and hope for the best.

Now, imagine you did the same and enjoyed putting together the stuff so much that you decide to apply for a job at Ikea as a “furniture-putter-togetherer.”

(Does that job even exist? I dunno but stay with me for a moment)

And the ONLY bedroom set you put together for your new job is the set you already assembled once.

You have to assemble that set — and that set only — for 8 hours per day, 5 days per week.

How long would it take you before you stopped using the instructions?
