I hear ya and have followed Peters work for years. I have also experimented with all types of fasting for many years myself. Muscle loss like muscle gain happens at microscopic levels and the potential of muscle loss wasn’t the main point of the article, although being in a fasted state certainly doesn’t maximize protein synthesis and recovery.

It’s that after my experience in coaching over 1300 people over the last 26 years is skipping breakfast backfires for more people than it helps in terms of controlling satiety, fat loss and if desired muscle gain.
