Women’s Unhealthy Relationship with this Device (and it’s not your phone)
It goes largely untalked about in the health and fitness industry, where a new weird diet, or unique workout is put out to distract you from doing what works.
Truth is, whether you realize it or not, most people worry and fall off track on the days, the scale is up.
You know that thing that spits out a number that you hold so dear.
Or if the scale doesn’t go down for 3–4 days, the chances of going off track increase by the day.
It happens to women more than men, too.
Not only are women generally lower in bodyweight.
So every pound lost is a greater portion of their total body weight. Meaning it’ll go slower.
They also deal with lower metabolism as a result of less muscle (usually), and being shorter — and weighing less.
Women also have a hormonal cycle making their weight fluctuate more.
On top of all this, women are told by the media, or even their mothers (or fathers) — and probably through their friends that their weight matters a lot.
It goes down: yay! It’s a good day.
It goes up: terrible day!
